                             Target Audiences – Film Opening 

 

  • The target audiences for the video are young adults and teenagers. The demographic which includes the younger generations are typically drawn to and entertained by horror (slasher) and mystery films. Statistics have shown that about 50% of viewers of these genres are ages 14-25, which falls into the targeted audiences for the opener. This production has aspects of each which will draw curiosity and interest in it. Trendy clothes, pop music, utilizing dialogue that a “typical teen” would use are all included, and a game which is very popular with this demographic. Classic horror film lovers in general are also being targeted since our film could fall into this category.

 Post-Production - Film Opener                                                                               Filming Process       For the film opener, the set days to film were Feb. 1 st  and Feb 3 rd . My group  ended up needing to film both days since we ran out of time on the  1 st . Film Opening Pitch   Film Title & Genre   “Kiss,  Marry ,  KILL” -   “ Kiss” and “Marry” would be in cursive and a pink or red font while “ KILL ” would be bold  in black.   Horror and mystery   Horror/Mystery  - These genres focus on creating suspense and fear by discovering dark  secrets,  strange events, and hidden truths  that   keep the audience attentive and curious.       Log Line   The main character is Julie, a t eenage girl who is attending her friend’s  party.  She and her friends are just trying to have a fun time, when all of sudden, something goes incredibly wrong.  The tone of the film will be  suspenseful, tense, and a hint of a comedy.       Opening Description   The setting  will be at Summer’s house since she is hosting a party fo r her friends to attend.
