Practice & Technical Preparation - Film Opener
Practice & Technical Preparation
Editing practice:
Here is a screenshot of me practicing how to add in photos and videos into the program iMovie, using a photo from their free, available library. Doing this allowed me to get an idea of how I should approach editing when the times comes and how long it will take.
Test shots and sample clips:
This is a practice shot featuring Gia while a pan-shot of the birthday decor is tested. This will be used in the opener as a intro and start to it. It helped me understand the importance of a clearly visible introduction so it's easier for the audience to get a sense of the setting.
This is a test shot featuring Isabel, while testing the opening scene of a green bottle spinning. The green bottle represents a common media convention, which is the color green representing jealousy. It allowed me to learn how close the camera should be kept to the bottle so that it did not consistently be blurry or too close.
Brief Reflection:
All the tests and practices went as planned and me, Gia, and Isabel decided we will include finalized versions of each into our final production. I will improve in the sense of making everything cleaner and neater. Besides that, everything is well on track.
