Locations, Cast, Props, and Costumes – Film Opener

Locations, Cast, Props, and Costumes – Film Opener

Location:

Sophia Berman’s house (my home)

  • The living room: Has natural lighting from the windowsis a large open space, and easy to control factors.

  • The bathroom: Perfect to use not typical angles such as having a character viewed in the mirror, a secluded space to further the plot of finding the hand sticking out of the bathtub, and easy to control factors.

Using someone's home, especially in common spaces like the bathroom and living room, supports the horror genre by turning typically safe places into a tense setting where many things could be discovered.

  • Dating Ethan

Sophia B (me): Sienna

  • Best friends with Ella

  • Concerned, supportive, and kind

Grayson L: Ethan

Rebecca S: Charlotte

Mario M: Bryan

  • Interesting and funny

  • Friends with Ethan

  • Because I, alongside Gia and Isabel, are all acting in our own production, we will manage filming by taking turns holding the camera to record each of our parts.

Props:

Gia S oversees props and these are the props:

  • Green bottle

  • Punch

  • Cups

  • Birthday decor (Balloon, happy birthday sign, tinsel)

  • Birthday crown

Costumes:

  • All of the characters will be dressed in denim and fairly nice clothing to provide a realistic look to them. It creates realism and furthers the idea that they are at a teen birthday party. The mice-en-scene is very important so that the audience can feel more connected to the opening.

Example of the type of clothing that will be worn in the film.
