Final Idea/Genre - Film Opening 

 

  • The genres of this film opening are a mix of horror, slashers, and thrillers. The horror genre focuses on fear, dread, and attempts to disturb viewers emotionally and psychologically.  The slasher genre is a subgenre of horror that features someone stalking and killing people, usually one by one. Finally, the thriller genre involves tension and suspense. It also focuses on danger and fast-paced conflict. The final idea for the film opening is that a girl named Julie is jealous of her good friend Ella and her boyfriend, Ethan. She suggests playing a game of Kiss, Marry, Kill, to attempt to see how Ethan feels about her. When she realizes he loves Ella, she eventually kills her. The opener exhibits aspects of each genre, allowing it to reach a broader audience. Particularly though, suspense lovers.

 Post-Production - Film Opener                                                                               Filming Process       For the film opener, the set days to film were Feb. 1 st  and Feb 3 rd . My group  ended up needing to film both days since we ran out of time on the  1 st . Film Opening Pitch   Film Title & Genre   “Kiss,  Marry ,  KILL” -   “ Kiss” and “Marry” would be in cursive and a pink or red font while “ KILL ” would be bold  in black.   Horror and mystery   Horror/Mystery  - These genres focus on creating suspense and fear by discovering dark  secrets,  strange events, and hidden truths  that   keep the audience attentive and curious.       Log Line   The main character is Julie, a t eenage girl who is attending her friend’s  party.  She and her friends are just trying to have a fun time, when all of sudden, something goes incredibly wrong.  The tone of the film will be  suspenseful, tense, and a hint of a comedy.       Opening Description   The setting  will be at Summer’s house since she is hosting a party fo r her friends to attend.
