CCR #1: How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?
Script:
I'm gonna tell an important story you see
It’s about social issues that create controversy
So, buckle up and get ready to think
Grab some popcorn and maybe a drink
A girl and a guy have a big fight
They end up not being so tight
The girl had had enough of his terror
This relationship was a big error
The guy was told that they were done
No more hangouts, or other fun
He starts breaking down and falls to floor
Shortly after, he walks out the door
The guy leaves and has a tantrum outside
He probably stayed cus’ he didn’t have a ride
He couldn’t believe she said he was only a friend
He couldn’t accept the relationship had come to an end
The guy started to have thoughts about their past
This got him upset, causing him to think fast
He tried to remember exactly what was said
Which really hurt his head
He started to have thoughts that were bad
He had these ideas because he was mad
Kicking and punching entered his mind
The thoughts came once, then did a rewind
These ideas to hurt her weren’t cool
Making him seem like a fool
Violence can never be the answer
The behavior is a social cancer
In school we are taught to use our words
Some might think that’s only for nerds
But this belief is totally wrong
Don’t get brutal and you’ll belong
Next our boy heads over to her window
Hoping to get back and take it slow
The girl can’t believe what she’s seeing
She wished he would start fleeing
He tries to offer money and a ring
But she’s not interested in getting his bling
She tells him real clearly, he needs to go
That’s when his ideas started to flow
He heads around, out to the back
Determined to get things on track
He makes a lot of noise with his pleas
He was desperate, almost got on his knees
This acting out is creepy
Even if he just feels weepy
He needs to respect what she said
Even if it makes him see red
She was surprised he had this reaction
Maybe this relationship actually has traction
She wondered if she had maybe made a mistake
Maybe he’s not such a total flake
She goes out ready to speak
Showing her determination was getting weak
She decides to give it one more try
Maybe he isn’t such a bad guy
Suddenly, we see what is his real plan
Which makes us realize we aren’t a fan
He pushes her into the pool
Showing he is a real tool
He realizes his mistake and runs away
Putting him into a state of dismay
He hoped he had gotten away clean
Because he knew what he did was mean
In our story, he then awakes
He was filled with emotion and had the shakes
He exclaims “you won’t believe the dream I just had”
She wants to know, but he says “you don’t, it’s really bad”
What have we learned from our little tale?
Tantrums are likely to fail
When it comes to relationship violence,
There can no longer be silence.
